What to Bring to Preschool

Children need a number of things each time they attend preschool...

* a piece of fruit, or maybe carrot or other vegie "sticks", for morning tea. Please place these in a labelled bag in the tub near the sign-in book.

* a change of clothes (you never know when it might rain suddenly, or if someone happens to find a mud puddle, spills paint etc). Please label the clothes with your child's name.

* lunch of some kind, in a clearly labelled container. Please put this in the fridge in the crate for your child's class. We have a microwave so we can heat up leftovers if you like - make a note in the attendance folder and we'll take care of it. Please, NO peanut products of any kind - some muesli bars fall into this category too. We encourage healthy eating, so please do not send items like chips or lollies in lunch boxes.

* a drink in a clearly labelled drink bottle. In summer, you might like to half fill, then freeze the drink in the bottle, topping it up in the morning before coming to preschool. Healthy drinks such as water or diluted fruit juice is preferable. Water is always available for children.

* all children attending preschool must wear hats that protect their face, neck and ears when outdoors - a broad-brimmed hat with a brim size of at least 6cm, a bucket-style hat with a brim size of at least 5cm with a deep crown or a legionnaire hat. It is recommended that you buy a hat that can be left at preschool in your child's tray.
