A Day at Preschool
Outdoor play - The playground is organised to promote social play and to encourage physical development. There may be obstacle courses, trampolines, gym mats, climbing frames, ball games, water play, outdoor painting, bubble blowing, kite flying, sand play and materials to build cubbies. We keep the outdoor environment varied, challenging and interesting for the children.
Indoor activities - are both structured and unstructured. Some activities are group based, and others let children learn independence. There are always art and craft options, including painting, drawing, pasting and modelling. We include activities to promote the development of fine motor skills such as threading, play dough, cutting and tracing.
There's always the opportunity to play rhyming, singing and dancing games, which are drawn from many cultures. Children also get to play instruments. We even have dramatic play using costumes.
A block corner contains blocks, construction sets, and much more for busy hands to work with. |
